The move follows a public consultation by TfL that found there was general support for the change. Local MP Tom Brake said, “This is excellent news for those who rely on the X26 in the evening. I can only hope that TfL also responds to the continuing public demand for the X26 to stop at the Plough in Beddington. It is certainly something I will continue to pursue”.  According to a recent article on Tom Brake’s web site, Dan Saleem, a local teenager from Wallington expressed support for the increased bus frequency, “it is great that TfL have increased the frequency of X26, it is more flexible for local residents like me.” He also added: “I do hope that the Plough Lane issue can be resolved soon and I am pleased that my local MP continues to keep it in the spotlight”.

The X26 will now run every 30 minutes until the last departures at about 2310 from Croydon and midnight from Heathrow.
