Local Cllrs. Alan Salter and Jill Whitehead have de-delegated the two current planning applications on the Old Forge, by the car park in Carshalton’s High Street.
The Forge is within the Carshalton Conservation Area and its site forms part of the The Grove Park Management Plan.
Jill says: “The Forge is of course an integral part of the borough’s heritage, and as some parts of the structure are 200 years old this should be retained, in line with other locally retained historic buildings such as Honeywood.”
