Cllr. Jill Whitehead took this photo today 9th January 2014 of the ancient Canal in Carshalton Park, now in good use as a picturesque water way again! Roll on spring.
Beautiful photos but is anyone else in Carshalton still flooded or are we all alone?!? I and some neighbours have cellars flooded with groundwater in Alma Road for nearly 4 weeks now. Can really nothing at all be done? Does anybody out there know?
Thanks for your message. I would suggest that if you have a flooded basement the matter is best taken up with your home insurance. I know from friends who live or have lived in Alma Road in the past that they have suffered flooded basements and so forth in the past. Some houses Alma Road and others have a history of flooding in basements in the Carshalton area. If you could E-mail me: hamish.pollock@sutton.gov.uk the details of your address and other matters, I will take the matter up with council officers as to what other ways of help can be found.
