Cllr. Hamish Pollock reports:-

“It is not every day that an architect such as myself has the chance to design a war memorial and get it built. Anyway, the new World War Two (1939-1945) war memorial that I designed for Carshalton is progressing on site and should be completed in about a fortnight’s time. A sneak photo was taken on Wednesday, 9th April 2014. The full cost of the war memorial was entirely funded by Sutton Council’s Public Realm allocation to the Carshalton & Clockhouse Local Committee”.
